This policy explains what information Scope Vision Care (“we”, “us”) collects through scopevisioncare.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Your medical information
Medical information we create or receive when we care for you is protected by HIPAA and described in our separate Notice of Privacy Practices, available at our office or by request. This website is not a place to send medical details: please don’t include symptoms, diagnoses, insurance numbers or other health information in the contact form. Call us at (713) 697-7500 instead.
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, email, optional phone number and your message. We use it only to answer you. Messages are delivered by email to our office.
- Appointments and bill payment: these open on our provider Weave (getweave.com / weavebillpay.com). Information you enter there is handled by Weave under its own privacy policy and our agreement with them.
- Payment plans: links to CareCredit and Alphaeon take you to their own websites and policies.
Information collected automatically
- Essential storage: we remember your cookie choice in your browser (local storage). Nothing else is stored unless you agree.
- Analytics (only with your consent): if you choose “Accept analytics”, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. IP addresses are anonymized. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.
- Spam protection: the contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile and simple server checks to block automated spam. Turnstile may process technical data about your browser for this purpose only. To limit abuse, our server keeps a one-way (hashed) code of your IP address for up to one hour.
- Videos: YouTube videos load only after you press play, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
- Server logs: like every website, our hosting provider records basic technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security.
How we use information
To answer your questions, schedule and provide care, keep the website secure, and improve it. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Your choices
- Change your cookie choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
- Ask us to see, correct or delete the information you sent through the website by writing to info@scopevisioncare.com.
Children
This website is meant for adults, including parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through the website.
Security and retention
The site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. We keep messages only as long as needed to respond and for our normal records.
Links to other websites
Our pages link to other sites (for example Weave, CareCredit, Alphaeon, Google Maps, YouTube, Facebook and X). Their privacy practices are their own.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
